JEVELS is a curated Web3 platform for digital jewelry and fashion accessories. The platform is backed by the Ethereum blockchain. Each piece of wearable art is available as NFT with a unique token, confirming the owner's exclusive rights for the items. To increase usability for the NFTs, JEVELS provides an AR filter of each item, which can be used for social media and video calls.
This is what gives value to digital assets! In technical terms - A non-fungible token is a unit of data stored on a digital ledger, called a blockchain, that certifies a digital asset to be unique and therefore not interchangeable. NFTs can be used to represent items such as photos, videos and other types of digital files as unique items, and use blockchain technology to establish a verified and public proof of ownership. Items verified on the JEVELS platform are stored on the Ethereum blockchain using the ERC-1155 token. Check out Jevels smart contract on Etherscan.
Ethereum is a decentralized, open-source blockchain with smart contract functionality. Ether (ETH) is the native cryptocurrency of the platform. After Bitcoin, it is the second-largest cryptocurrency by market capitalization. Ethereum is the most actively used blockchain.
Purchasing JEVELS can be done with crypto (you can use your Metamask) or with credit or debit card (you do not need a crypto wallet). When you pay with your credit or debit card, you will receive your files, your tokens and access to filters. You can claim them on chain anytime later here.
“Gas” refers to the fee required to successfully conduct a transaction on Ethereum. This fee goes directly to Ethereum miners who provide the computer power that's necessary to verify transactions and keep the network running. Gas limit refers to the maximum amount of gas (or energy) that you're willing to spend on a particular transaction.
Gas fees is the amount paid to compensate for the computing energy required to process and validate transactions on the Ethereum blockchain. You do not pay any gas fees for the minting, the NFTs have already been minted. You need to pay gas fees for the transfer of ownership, when you claim it on chain. You need to pay gas fees for the transfer once you claim your ownership on chain. It takes a few minutes for the blockchain to emit the events and for the NFTs to appear in your profile.
